Correcting the misconceptions of tennis
Hey everyone, my name is Shrithik Sareddy, I am a competitive tennis player that has been playing tennis for almost ten years and still am. I played many tournaments on United States Tennis Association or USTA for short and I wanted to share my knowledge and experience playing tennis as many people have an incorrect view of tennis being an easy sport and not requiring much physical exercise. It is not, it is a very balances sport that requires the player to use every part of their body and their mental fortitude as well as tennis does not have a time limit compared to other sports such as basketball or baseball. A point in tennis can vary from 10 seconds to 30 minutes maybe more. To be able to keep the point going for that long the player needs to be well versed in the techniques for the strokes in tennis and execute them perfectly. One small mistake can either lead the ball to drop short into the net or go out of bounds. I want to correct there misconceptions such as these so that people would play tennis and see how much of a fun sport it is.
